Luis Miguel Cobo
Luis Miguel Cobo was born in Úbeda, Spain. After completing his training as a composer he began collaborating with leading Spanish film composers such as José Nieto, Alberto Iglesias and Lucio Godoy.
He was awarded a fellowship in Berlin by the Nipkow Programme and made several collaborations with the 2 top Berlin film schools HFF and DFFB. His work Klaustrophobie was chosen by the Berlin Film Festival.
He also works with theatre directors such as Miguel Narros, Natalia Menéndez, Juan C. Perez de la Fuente, Gerardo Vera, Salva Bolta, Ernesto Caballero, José Sanchis Sinisterra, Carol López and Luis Luque.
He has worked with international choreographers such as Sharon Fridman, Mónica Runde (10 & 10Danza), Ivan Perez (NDT), Patrick da Bana and Enrique Cabrera (Aracaladanza).
Cobo’s works have been performed at the Vienna Volksoper, L’Opéra Royal de Versailles, Les Jardins du Trocadero and L’Hôtel des Invalides in Paris.
He has also composed music for exhibitions and fashion show by designers Jesús del Pozo and Moisés Nieto as well as major events such as the Ibero American Summit XXII in Cadiz 2012, “The Awakening of the Casa Batllo” in Barcelona 2012 and “Dreams Arriaga” Teatro Arriaga, in Bilbao 2011.
